Mobile Apps

When Written: Aug 2010

Any developer out there who has more than a little entrepreneurial spirit in him will be watching closely the rise of mobile phone and web applications with a view to writing ‘the coolest app’ and making some serious money. The most obvious of these are the apps for the Apple iPhone, where development has to be done on Apple Macs and the resulting application has to be approved by Apple before it is made available and you can start to make money from it. Google’s Android app store is an easier route to making money from mobile apps and we will have to wait to see what, if any, take-up there is on the new Windows Phone7. The Microsoft development tools are currently free being a special version of Visual Studio Express.
