Tomorrow the world!

When Written: Aug 2010

I recently went along with a business colleague to a one day seminar on Internet Marketing and whilst we were instructed in the Black Arts of optimising web sites for the vagaries of Google’s Search algorithms, I started to wonder about how some of the largest of the web sites out there promote themselves. I would guess that nobody types ‘Social Networking’ into a search engine to find Facebook and quite what you would need to be looking for to discover Twitter defies imagination! I would doubt that in the early days of Google few people found Google by entering Search engine into one of their competitor search engines. So perhaps it is worth remembering as your company throws more and more money and resources at search engine optimisation that maybe, just maybe there may be another route to world domination in your sector?
